Tivoli turismo

One of the most suggestive architecture of Tivoli is the so-called Gothic House, a late medieval house of the thirteenth century. The amazing structure in travertine faces via Campitelli. It can be reached through a spectacular staircase, the so-called profferlo, characterized by battlements and arch masonry with a niche.

The Gothic House is spread over three floors, the ground floor was once used as a shop, the first floor accessible by an external staircase, and the second floor reached by an interior staircase. The beauty of this house lies not only in its superb appearance, but also in its stylistic elements. Today near the courtyard of the Gothic House you can admire a beautiful fountain that reflects perfectly the style of Villa d'Este.
